Essex Speech & Feeding is owned and operated by Vanessa Facendola, New Jersey licensed Speech and Language Pathologist. She maintains her national Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Vanessa holds a Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders from William Paterson University. She received an undergraduate degree in Communication Studies from The College of New Jersey. 

Vanessa has trained and worked with hospital inpatient and outpatient departments, special and regular education schools, and in-home early intervention. She gained extensive experience with the pediatric population, conducting evaluations and therapy with early-intervention, preschool, and school-aged children. Vanessa sought to build Essex Speech & Feeding with the focus of helping families successfully navigate communication struggles and mealtime stress regarding picky eaters. She values holistic treatment for each individual and strives to help each client and family achieve optimum carry over and success.

In addition to her private practice, Vanessa conducts developmental evaluations in the birth to three population with a New Jersey Early Intervention System (NJEIS) Targeted Evaluation Team. She enjoys spending time in the local community with her husband and two sons, warm weather and sunshine, exercise endorphins, and all things food related.
